How to make sweet and sour pickled figs
Step 1Processing figs
First, you dissolve 3 teaspoons of salt in a bowl of water (about 1 liter) . Then you cut off the stem and peel the figs . To limit the blackening of figs, you should both peel the figs and dip the figs in salt water (or just soak the figs in salt water, and peel them directly in the water).
Next, you dissolve 3 teaspoons of salt and the juice of ¼ lemon in another bowl of water (about 1 liter) . Step 3Make fig juice
Stir together 600ml of vinegar with 600ml of filtered water, 4 teaspoons of sugar, 1 teaspoon of salt, 2 sliced chili peppers and 6 sliced garlic cloves.
Step 4Soak figs
